About
It was the wonderful scents of essential oils and their therapeutic properties that attracted me to aromatherapy. Then a worldwide trip opened by mind further to what the natural world has to offer. I was eager to learn more. However, life got hectic with the arrival of my first son and then two years later the arrival of twins. So, I didn't have a lot of time to study! Motherhood lead me to discover that so many products, designed for babies delicate skin, contain some nasty chemicals as do many skin care products we use as an adult. I decided that there are more natural ways and so it gave me even more reasons for me to explore further into complementary therapies.
When all my boys were in full time school I completed my level three diploma in Complementary Therapies. This consisted of an intense study of the anatomy and physiology, Swedish massage, aromatherapy and reflexology.

Then I went on to further my studies in Indian Head Massage with completing a level three diploma and am qualified in Holistic Facials.
Further to that I have gained a certificate in oncology reflexology and massage therapies with the wonderful Butterfly Touch Training (http://www.butterflytouchtherapies.com/).
An exciting addition to my therapies is to be a member and a practitioner of the Functional Reflex Therapy (www.functionalreflextherapy.co.uk). This therapy supports the mental health and wellbeing of children and adults with high levels of anxiety and stress, autism and autistic spectrum disorders, intellectual difficulties, neurological disorders and communication issues. More information about this therapy will be available soon on this website.
I am always reading, keeping up to date with complementary therapy practices and attending workshops because I want to offer you the best treatment I can give. Also I am a consultant for Neal's Yard Organics which I use if appropriate for the therapy treatments.
I am a member of the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapies) and the AOR (Association of Reflexology) so you can be sure that I abide to their strict guidelines and practices.
Thank you for reading and if you would like to know more about me, the therapies I offer or would like to book one, please do not hesitate to contact me.
